Does anyone else get strange phone calls at 3:00am in the morning from a man claiming to be Duane only drunker? I keep getting them. Just curious.

Hey Mick Glad to hear the good news with the family. It would be even nicer if you stayed in touch with an old friend. I know your busy and all, but I haven't talked to you in a long time.

No Vinnie, that can't be any of the Striderguys calling you; they don't have phones. Nor do they know what that strange ringing sound is; they think that it's the bearings in the grinders going out.
But if they'd realize that the strange tones are actually the sound of the phone ringing AND also the sound of "You've got mail", they'd realize that the BladeArt guys are going nutso trying to get in touch with them because I'M pestering them trying to order some of those great Strider knives, including some of those awesome Tiger/Zombie Killer/Cartoon knives that Tom Mayo is so in love with. So I awaken in the middle of the night by nightmares of my future GB and AR folders, and the Zombie Knife which I unexplainably crave. And then I call you and pretend to be Duane so that you'll post a topic like this which gives me the opportunity to vent. Don't feel bad though because I just dial numbers at random when this happens. But at least I feel much better now. Hopefully this explains your strange phone calls.

Mick- Your right you do suck for not keeping in touch, but I guess that is a two way street. You need to come to TREXPO unless you are going to be gone.

Pat- It must be the high class people that hang out in this forum. Or is it the other forum can't handle honesty?

Duane- You know I wouldn't have it any other way. It's things like that which remind me how much I miss you guys and being out there.

Eric Blair- Quite bitching. I never have a problem getting ahold of them. They must not like you.
 
Vinnie, I'm not bitching; I'm having fun here in the Strider forum while I eagerly await my Strider knives.
I recommend Strider knives to ALOT of people because I happen to think that these guys makes some of the most kick*ss knives around, and therefore it's probably somewhat my fault that these guys are so friggin' busy. Hell, I even talked my favorite knife dealer into become a Strider dealership.
On May 20th I sent an e-mail to Mick inquiring as to the status of the GB that I have on order. On 5-21 I received a courteous e-mail from him explaining that he would forward my e-mail to Steve for a reply. Did I ever hear from Steve? No. But I understand that these guys are doing the best that they can. So a month later I chose to poke some fun at them in this post because their correspondence isn't quite as great as their knives, which I can certainly live with. Hell, I've already asked my Strider dealer to place another $1100 worth of orders with them on my behalf. I guess you simply misunderstood my attempt at some fun sarcasm. If you felt that I somehow invaded upon your personal post to the Striderguys, then I apologize to you for that. You know these guys, and I don't. All I know is that I like their knives alot, and everyone that I know who knows them says that they're a great bunch. Good enough for me. So relax, and enjoy the forums. And I'll continue my sarcasm because it's my favorite way to pass the time between cool knives.

When did you place your order? We will get you some data. Be patient and know that you are not being passed over, we are just that far behind. If you're in a big hurry, I recommend one of Mayo's folders, it will hold up at least until you get ours! (Love ya Tom!)

You obviously don't know me because I think my sarcasim is a lot worse than yours. If you knew me you would know that i'm giving you a hard time like you were giving them a hard time. You are not invading anything and I don't need to relax you just need to know that i'm just giving you a hard time.

Duane, my buddy Larry Brahms of Blade Art ordered the GB for me back in March. I can get an exact date from him if that will help you figure an approximate eta.
Anyway, Larry got with Mick at the Oregon show and the two of them discussed doing a half serrated blade on my GB, which is probably part of the delay. Have you guys gotten the serration machine yet?
I fully realize that you guys are behind due to being swamped with orders. That's what you get for making such kick*ass knives!

Recently I handled an AR that a good friend of mine received. There's no doubt that the Strider folders are worth the wait.

Sorry pal. We're way behind on folders. We out source the pivot bolts. And ran out. We won't have more until the middle of next month. The good news is that we have mucho blades. So when we get the bolts, we'll have folders moving quickly. Thanks for liking our stuff.

I've eaten and drank (which is rare for me) with everyone in this post. With the exception of Eric Blair. Which means that Eric Blair has to send each of us $100.

Damn, Mick, I'm trying to send you $1100 towards my next order if Larry can ever get ahold of you, so feel free to divide it up amongst the guys in this thread. Hell, you'll still have enough left over to buy a TNT from Tom.

BTW, Mick, thanks for the update, and thank you Duane for your prompt response as well.
I think it's plenty safe for you guys to increase the quantity of your pivot bolt order. Doesn't look like anyone will be losing interest in your knives anytime soon. So instead of a dozen pivot bolts this time, go ahead and be daring! Get two dozen.

BTW, Tom, hurry up and finish those pivot bolts for the Striderguys so that they can make some folders. C'mon, fess up, I know that you've gotta be the one making them; who else could they find to drill those perfect little holes down the center of the bolts like that?
