So looking thru a guys case today at the flea market, mostly junk and a Spyderco Police he had, I saw this strange little blue knife. It looked like a Salsa and was anodized aluminium with the spyder and Spyderco cast in the handle with a hole like on the raven but no spyderco on the blade. All it said on the back side was Tawai or something to the effect. What was this?

I tend not to even knife window shop on ebay. I'd just never seen one before and was like wtf. The guy was steadily trying to convince me it was real. That's the exact knife. I didn't even bother asking a price, wonder what it would have been. Might ask about the Police next week though, it was in great shape.

Man, I'm sorry to keep posting on this but I feel compelled to baton that POS through an engine block.

Sal really needs to file suit against eBay because we keep reporting these things and they do nothing to stop it. This seller is actually being cocky about it!

Item reported to evilbay again. If everybody piles on- maybe somebody will listen.

Nothing will get done. Sal has been trying to deal with these scammers for years. I personally have reported almost 100 fake Spyderco's over the years and not one single listing ended early due to my reports.

I have sent email after email to the sellers asking them if they knew they were fakes. Only 2 people felt bad and added it to their active listing. Most were indignant and rude because they knew they were passing on a POS.

There is a line of thought that if someone is stupid enough to buy it, they deserve what they get. I reject that line of thinking. I was dumb when I started out too and although I was lucky enough to not get stuck with a fake, it could have happened.

Yeah, but Sal has tried to go after the makers, who can then scurry like rats. Evilbay, on the other hand, ain't going anywhere and they continue to facilitate copyright infringement even when they are informed it's going on. They are a 'deep pocket', are located in the USA, and have demonstrated a pattern of indifference.

I that a good lawsuit might just make them a little less complacent and might fund a nice vacation for Sal.
