I recently saw a Endura on a popular knife website and the texture on the blade was awesome. It looked like it had been hammered to get the effect, but I know that would destroy the blade. I was wondering if anyone else had seen this or knows how to replicate this process. I'll post pics of the knife in just a few minutes.

I don't know either but I'm going to try and figure it out tomorrow. Now I just need a old POS knife to play with.

Could be done with a diamond ball bit and some time.

Maybe it was drilled, buffed and then heavily stone washed?

Now that I'm looking at it again, that would probably take a very long time. Lots of patience. I hope someone figures this out, would be interesting to know.

That's one of the ugliest things I've ever seen. It looks like someone dropped a perfectly good Endura in the mud about 18 years ago and just found it. But to each his own.

+1! Not a huge fan of this, but it's in the eye of the beholder.

Ugly or not, I'm very interested to know how they achieved that finish. :D

I'm guessing acid or chemical. It looks too imperfect to be made by any sort of drilling I'm familiar with.

Interesting knife there. I am not sure about the blade but I am loving the handles.
