Strange Wilderness Photos

Cool stuff Mike. I trust that you didn't notice the orb until after you got back home. Can't explain how you replicated it again the next day. Never had anything like that happen to me before.

I have a question and a statement

Is there a foundation for a house there or is it just the chimney alone?

I think you should spend the night and light a fire in the chimney, the ghost may want to communicate with you then!

Cool fireplace but the orb is an optical illusion created by the camera. I have a few floaters captured on film.

Strange, but interesting photographs. I wonder about the structure that once adjoined with the fireplace. There was certainly a 'history' surrounding that place. Odd places have odd stories...some of them lost with the passage of time. What type of camera are you using? Did you employ a flash when you shot the pics?

Think about the folk that sat around that fireplace and warmed themselves while talking and exchanging more lore about the place and their subsequent lives. What if we had audio of some of those memorable stories? And, better still, who made the fireplace? Where are they now?

I suggest we leave my ex wife up there overnight

if she does not return--we will know something got her

worth a shot

:)

Heh... Heh... Heh...(evil laugh). Great idea! I've got to get mine up there, too.

I hike most every day and often carry a camera, I shoot thousands of photos each year.

In all my time in the woods, I've never had something like this show up.

First up, while bushwacking in the woods on Friday I spy this old chimney.

Here are two photos from Friday afternoon taking a minute apart.

Note the "orb" in this second shot.

Seeing these photos my lovely wife insisted we hike back up there to take more pictures.

Here's a series of three I took on Sunday.

All three of these photos where taken in quick sessesion with the same camera settings,

...You be the judge. !!!

Big Mike

i have a question about the chimney.. circa? too young to be colonial. way too good a shape.

I took these photos last summer in Charleston, SC. While on vacation my wife thought it would be fun to go on a Ghost Tour. She enjoys watching Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures and the like. While snapping some pics in the cemetery I took this pic.

As you can see, there is no real reason to take a photo of that tree at that angle so I must confess. I did it to mess with my wife. :o

There was actually a spotlight mounted on the tree and in the hazy overcast daylight it just came out looking like some strange green orb.

I've never taken any photos with anything strange in them. Just thought I'd share these.

Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus. :)
