Strangest, Most Exotic and Bizarre Handle Materials for a Custom Knife???

I've seen two knives with Rhea Bird feet for handles. The look funny. I remember an associate called the turkey feet. 48harley

I've seen some interesting if not rare materials. W.D Pease had a folder with "pin shell" at the Plaza Show, beautiful translucent brown color.

I have a Winkler made with a whole Sperm Whale tooth that is pretty exotic.

In the pearl family is Sea Snail shell, wonderful colors.

My personal hunt is for some antique Tortoise Shell, anyone got some?

a nagging bit of trivia that escapes me...
I know that this is fossilized penis bone of something aquatic, but what? Walrus? Whale of some kind?
somewhere there is a really bad joke in this...;)

I made a neck knife once with as 30,000 year old cave bear tooth as the handle. Worked out really well.

Hi all, great ideas so far, i have definitely learned a few new handle materials, as an aside, i have a stainless Kimber full size 1911 and i have always wanted some really nice bark mammoth ivory grips, but never did find anybody who made grips like that, and then, a few weeks ago at a S. FL gunshow, this guy, with a small, out of the way table, had the most BEAUTIFUL pair of blue bark mammoth ivory grips for sale, my dream come true, only problem was, they were $250!!! Much as i wanted them, i just couldnt justify it. Interestingly, he also had several Oosic, complete penis bones for sale, and let me tell you, most impressive, if anyone ever tells you they're hung like a walrus, you should be very impressed (and jealous). :)
