Strangest thing you’ve traded a knife for?

Traded a Chefs knife that I made for a ‘91 BlueBird bus with a 5.9 PPump Cummins.

Great trade but i bet it was a rotary pump in 91.

Many years ago i traded my Gerber Parabellum for a friends compound bow and some arrows.

I traded cash and a Buck 119 for a tacoma elocker rear to swap into my first gen 4runner.

A friend gave me a car he didnt want to fix but I did. I remembered he had admired a Griptillian I owned a few months before so I gave it to him a few months later. Not exactly a trade.

For me it was the other way around. I don't recall ever trading a knife for anything, but I traded stuff for knives.

I didn't have access to a lot of knives as a kid, but I had a friend who's father was into guns and knives, and they went to gun shows back in the early 80's, when you could get good knives at such shows.

My friend bought a lot of Parker brand knives, mostly daggers/boot knives, that were of decent quality for the time.

In our early teens the only things my friend liked more than knives were porn and pot. I had acquired a large assortment of porno magazines, and I had connections for pot, so I ended up with several of my friends knives.

Years later I would end up selling some of them back to him as he felt nostalgic for them, and I had access to higher quality knives. One knife I gave back to him in appreciation for a favor he did for me. I only have one of those porn/pot knives left today, a small Maxam folder made in Japan.

I want to know more about "The Possum Palace"?

Strangest thing I've ever traded for a knife was "an arm & a leg"...
