This jig was built to make the repetitive job of hole punching in leather strapping and belts a bit easier.
The jig widens and narrows, adjusting to the leather being punched.
It adjust from 1/2 inch wide to 2 inches wide; all the while keeping the punch centered.
Because the sides are equidistant, the holes drilled to hold each punch stay centered, whatever the width.
The copper pointers at each end of the jig, adjust for hole spacing along the belt, from 3/8 inch to 1 1/2 inch between holes.
The job looks clean and professional with the holes aligned and spaced properly.
The white knobs are set screws for the alignment pins, they hold the pointers in place after you set them.
The pointers adjust an inch and a quarter in and out, to give a wide range of settings.
Happy to answer any questions, Fred
