I don't post too often here but thought I would share my recent trip to Strawberry Res. The Temperature is rising we are hitting 100 F now so I thought it would be a great time to find a nice Mtn. lake for the lady and I to cool off at. My wife is from the Czech Republic and grew up with horses and water. So that is what we did.
These caterpillars were all over the mtn. Camp we found the first night...
We set up our beds for the night and enjoyed the views
Even though Fires were prohibited (State Wide) food was top notch (Salmon and Pasta Salad)
On the rocky drive back we came across a Grouse that wasn't too concerned about our being there
We then saddles up Mexico and Stitch (Horses) and headed for Henry's Pond in the High Uinta Mtns.
We then loaded up the canoe and paddled to our secret Camp spot on the Lake
There were butterflies everywhere, Nikki's swim suit caused a little confusion for the little guys, we also saw a lot of Cicaida's in Pupae and winged form
The recent fires in the area create dramatic sunsets.. that is all Smoke!
Thanks for looking
Ryan
