Stream hiking with TGLB

I went to explore a forest stream with my trusty TGLB today. The stream stretches deep into the heart of the nature reserve. Here are some pictures to share the fun.

This is the entrance to the lost world. I have to climb under the expressway to reach the stream.

The tunnel to the lost world.

Met this annoyed little stream crab in the tunnel.

The end of the tunnel and the stream hike begins from here

Where I grew up in Phoenix, that isn't the kind of crab you would meet under a bridge.

What kind of crab do you have in Phoenix?

I saw many more of the tiny crabs when I revisited the stream after the last light. They seem to be more active at night. This got me more interested about it and I decided to find out more about it. I learned that it is only found in Singapore and it is a critically endangered species I will stay away from the stream going forward to give these little creatures more space.

Somehow I do not think that Phoenix have crabs. Unless you go to a restaurant for blue crabs.
