I had been wanting to try something like this for a while, and finally squeezed it in to last week's HT batch. I wanted this one striking and practical, with an everyday sized blade and a long, easy working handle.

Swept choil for increased comfort. Tapered and skeletonized tang for improved balance and weight.

Specs:

3.375" edge length, 8.5" OAL
CTS-XHP @ 60, .155" thick
Hollow ground w/slightly convex bevel stropped to shaving
Lightning Strike Carbon Fiber and Black G10
416ss hardware
5.7oz.

$195 shipped, $210 w/made to order sheath. Paypal preferred, but will accept other methods.

Wow that is so nice looks extremely practical and stylish. Kind of reminds me of a larger fixed version of the Kershaw Skyline. Really digging it wish I could justify a knife purchase right now, this would certainly be it.

This one a little too different? Kinda surprised it hasnt moved.

Well, I like the materials, but I prefer a couple other blade styles to the sheepsfoot, and the handle shape is unfamiliar (it could be the best handle ever made, but I'd have to handle it to know). I would buy most of your knives if I had more money, I really would - probably about 80% of the ones you've put up. Since I don't, I have to be selective, and I think a lot of people are in the same boat. There is a little more competition on the Makers exchange lately, and it seems like people aren't buying knives as much in general (I figured income taxes would increase sales, but either people have already spent it and their spouses are being really conservative with what's left, or they're still waiting on it). It's probably not realistic to expect knives to sell as quickly every time, online sales definitely benefit from seasonal trends. People may be saving for Blade Show in June, but you have hunting season, Christmas, etc. to look forward to where people will have money ready to snatch anything that comes up. It will sell I'm sure, just give it some time.

I just seem to be terrible at guessing which ones are gonna move.

I hope this isnt an omen, the one im posting in the morning is even wilder than this one.

TL was right, this was loosely inspired by the kershaw skyline, which is one of my favorite folders (in its bracket).

Ian, beautiful knife. I would snatch it in a second...but my wife would probably kick me out to the yard. Lol

This is a beautiful piece.
it's only been up here 9 hours, the right person will see this.

I like it a lot as I do most of your stuff. I think the handle may be a little long though, proportionally.

I cannot believe this isn't sold yet. I have to be honest, I shudder at the thought of a profile (not thickness) that was tapered towards the pommel when I'm making my own. But you make that look awesome. I mean, maybe all knives should be made that way, because yours really changed my mind on that type of design. Very well executed.

Thanks for the comments.

This photo might help show what this one is all about. I don't normally like to be a hand model, but sometimes you gotta...

With the longer tapering handle, the wider blade helps balance the design aesthetically. The swept choil, while being comfortable, also helps to draw the visual balance point back into the longer handle.

I often work within self-imposed constraints, in this case, an EDC sized blade with a slim, easy to carry handle that is long enough for larger hands, while still maintaining as much visual balance as possible (as well as actual balance).

Have to agree with Ajustice, like some of your other designs better, money tight so have to have a good design to come off my stash. handle design looks great. Will have one soon. Don't get discouraged, very nice work. Maybe going to some cheaper scales might help.

You sure do fantastic work! Looking forward to receiving mine, but this is another beautiful knife, IMHO. Best, Bradley
