Street Beat lightweight - quick thoughts

Me too. Without a doubt I would buy an uncoated LW Street Beat. I don't like coated blades but I love the Street Beat. Same goes for the Bowie.
 
I like the looks of the new one, but don't need it. I have the original Beat and current Bowie so it wouldn't get any carry time with me.

But having an inexpensive Street Beat in Spydercos lineup is a win in my book. It's a great knife and will get the design in more consumers pockets/belts.


Now a satin Bowie sized blade on the full tang micarta handle of the Beat would be amazing! I world surely buy one of those. Hmm, maybe two? I do have two hands last time I checked.
 
I just picked one up and promptly traded it off. The blade is just a wee bit smaller than I like and doesn't really look like a full 3.5" for some reason. Its really nice and for the price its a good deal, it just didn't do it for me for some reason.

A satin, micarta handled Street Bowie would rock! I'd get a couple, as well!

I'm curious why both of you wouldn't opt for the Bradley Bowie? Ergos? Steel?
