Stretch 2 question and pic request...

I've been thinking about picking a up a Stretch 2 for a while now. I'm a pretty serious knife user and have carried quite a few Spydercos. I heard a lot of talk about how thin the Stretch 2 is. This weekend I was at a gun show and finally got to handle a SS Stretch and now I'm sold on the design. A lot of threads I've read seem to infer that the Stretch 2 is more of a collecter's/gentleman's knife, too nice for EDC work and abuse. After handling the SS model, I'm fairly confident that it will hold up just fine for my purposes.

Is the Stretch 2 (blade and handle) any thinner than the SS Stretch? Can anybody provide a pic of them side by side?

Thanks.

Here you go, original recipe Stretch and Stretch II, plus my STR customized Lignum Vitae Stretch thrown in for good measure....

Stretch is a very easy carry. With an plus 3" blade that is rare. The blade is a cutting fiend with it's "super" flat grind.

Don't let anyone tell you the Stretch II isn't suitable for hard work. It doesn't make a great crowbar, but it is a cutting machine. "Used gently" is a term that applies to very few of my knives, and the Stretch II is not in that tiny group. In fact, mine got used for cutting an access hole in a sheetrock wall and cutting the insulation off a water pipe this morning when I was looking for a leak.

Thanks Deacon, that's just the pic I was looking for. The SS Stretch I handled inspired more confidence than you average Millie (I'm not dissing the Millie, just an observation). I personally love Sal and Eric's designs over a lot of other custom designers.

I don't think any folders should be used a prybars but after carrying SnGs, a SF delta and various other "hard use" knives I tend to be inclined to reach for the beefier Spyders... ATR, Superhawk, Lil' Temp, etc.

I think the Stretch 2 will be my next and final purchase for a while. Like I said, after handling it, I'm totally sold. Out of the many knives I've owned, (you name it I've carried it) I always find myself coming back to Spyderco (and I'm a sucker for full flat grinds and thumbholes...).
