I've heard reports that the edge of the blade makes contact with the lanyard tube when the knife is closed. Any insights into this?

Saw a YouTuber that had this problem so he removed the lanyard tube and used it without

I'm very interested in this knife. I've heard reports that the edge of the blade makes contact with the lanyard tube when the knife is closed. Any insights into this? If you own one, what are your experiences?

I’ve got one, and absolutely love it! Blade had very slight contact with the lanyard tube, but after first sharpening it was no longer making contact. I’m sure other peoples mileage will vary, but for me it wasn’t really an issue. Great knife.

No problems with my wife's example so far! I did ask the selling dealer to inspect the knife for the issue described.
