Stretch g10 scales possible?

Hi all, I've been searching threads and google, but have not been able to find any photos of a stretch with g10 scales. I saw tuff thumbs made a set with a crater look, but I'm looking for regular Spydie rough g10. Is this even possible with a FRN model? I'm not sure what kind of liners, if any, the stretch uses. Any help or thoughts would be appreciated, thanks!

I haven't seen any either and would love a stretch with g10. I just got a zdp stretch and love it.

The FRN versions have inset liners just like the Endura and Delica 4s that I think would be difficult to make scales for without a CNC machine. However, the discontinued C90CF and upcoming C90GF (damascus) have the scales mounted to full liners that would more easily accommodate making your own from G10, wood, etc. Here's a pic of the carbon fiber version stolen from a post on the Exchange...

^ ah ok, was curious about the liners. Guess that's why. If I spend the money for the CF version I think I would just keep the CF haha

Wasn't there a production model with G10: I thought I've seen one. I think it was probably with zdp-189 blade too... I would check that first: sure should be easier and cheaper to find that one than making a custom set.
Might be wrong: I was not really into that particular knife at the time.

Can someone just start producing G10 scales for the Delica, Endura and Stretch knives? I see them online occasionally, but someone needs to start cranking them out. Spyderco obviously isn't going to anytime soon.

Probably sensible, since the CF on the CF/ZDP-189 Stretch is peel-ply CF, so it kind of looks like peel-ply G-10 but doesn't show pocket wear after a year or two of carry like peel-ply G-10 will.

We'll be making a Stretch 2 with G-10 scales to check out the modification of the finger choil. If all goes well, we'll change the current mold to the new change.

Nested liners? I have the CF/ZDP so normal G-10 isn't all that tempting ;)

Hmmm, does that mean they will be selling the G10 Stretch or just that it will be a internal test model for the shape of the choil. Since they can't do that change inexpensively with FRN.

g10, another cf run would be great, can't wait to see what happens with the Stretch. it'd be really cool to see a Stretch with a liner or compression lock, just for speed of open/close and something different.

Probably a year away.

A Linerlock or Compression lock would be an entirely new model. Not likely at this time.

They'll be available on the general market.

Full skeletonized liners.

Any chance of it being polished G-10?

Possible. What color?

Sal, a dark blue G10 would be my first choice but hopefuly this is the first of many so we can start with black :)
