I saw the Stretch II FRN-VG10 on mr Blondes video. Does anyone have any idea of what the approximate price difference is going to be between the FRN-VG10 Stretch II and the Carbon fiber-ZDP189 version?

MSRP $339.95 for the CF/ZDP-189 vs. $129.95 for the FRN/VG-10. The FRN/ZDP-189 is $169.95. Street prices will be lower (maybe not in Sweden, though ;)).

FRN Stretch Street price I've seen is $69, versus about $180 for the CF ZDP189 version

I am still trying to figure out when these are going to be out, but the price would probably end up being between 60 and 70 dollars when compared to other MSRPs versus actual street price.

I'd figure closer to $85 for the VG-10 and $112 for the ZDP.

Will the CF Stretch remain in production?
From what I understand, like everything else in the lineup, if it sells it will stay in production, if not it will be retired.

A quick check says that the Assist (which has a MSRP of $125) has a street price of around $75-80. One can only assume that the price of the FRN Stretch will be similar.

Thanks alexcue :) I'm just wondering how they stay in business...

Well, as of now i'm using them as a price gauge. I've learned if something is TOO cheap there can be reasons for it. I've been burned twice in the last 2 months from unscrupulous dealers. (not meant as a slight to YCS, whatsoever) So I'm cautious now.

I rather give u the business anyway ;)

I think the FRN Stretch ZDP may end up fighting for time in my pocket, espescially in the low $100 range. That is a great value. But then I also have to get the Manix 2 as well. Man, my bank account is screaming right now, as I just bought the Caly 3 ZDP from Catamount and all of these great new models are coming out. I guess I'll have to go offline with catamount and see about a stretch FRN ZDP pre-order. I need more pockets to carry all of these knives I have and those I have to get.

I would hope that the FRN Stretch VG-10/ZDP are around the same price of the Endura VG-10/ZDP, respectively. They're essentially using the same materials, right?

I believe the full flat grind adds to the price a bit. Worth every penny.

I would think a FFG would be cheaper since you just go all they way up the blade instead of having to stop at a precise point. Then again, I'm not a knife maker :o

I'm not either, but more metal to remove means both higher labor cost and more wear and tear on grinding equipment.
