Stretch or endura in zdp-189

I know I want a knife in zdp-189. But I keep going back and forth between the stretch and endura. I know it's ultimately my own decision but I figured what the heck ass for some opinions. So which of the two of you prefer and why?

I'd vote Stretch over the Endura, just because I find the Stretch to be more comfortable in the hand.

i posted the same mother question two years ago. but i had specific questions which spydermen answered. with regard to strength in and around the pivot area, it's a tie. both use the same guage of steel for the liners, same size of pivot and retaining screws. with regard to thickness of the blade right at the edge, it's the endura (because of the straighter edge profile, unlike the bellied stretch.) the stretch usually wins with regard to the handle ergos.

i got the endura mainly for its size.

Are the blades the same thickness? I was under the impression that the at reach had a thinner blade; but now I'm reading that that is not that case.

I have the Stretch, love the blade design. It has a slight belly on the blade, which makes it suitable for peeling/skinning.

Had an Endura once and the handle was kinda awkward to me. The Stretch appears to be more ergonomic. For general purposes, I like the blade shape of the Stretch better.

I own both and prefer the Endura. I like the longer blade and blade shape. Plus I have a sentimental attachment to the Endura as it was my first Spyderco some twenty plus years ago.

thanks for assing the question LOL
endura...in SS is my vote
church knife, bling knife, work knife.

Not sure how picky you are, but Stretch's scratch the blade near the pivot.

As for the knives, I have a ZDP Endura and a SB Stretch......I have always been an Endura fan, but could easily only use a Stretch.....great freaking knife.

I would say it depends on your hand size. I've handled both, and found the Endura to be ergonomically-perfect, whereas the Stretch was too small in my hands. The curve down at the back of the handle kept all of my fingers from comfortably fitting on the handle. The Endura being longer and slimmer was a great fit, though for an even better fit for large hands, the Spyderco Police can't be beat. If only it came in ZDP-189!

Personally, both are must haves. Two of my favorite Spydies in a ideal subdued color and fancy high performance steel.

I'm not much help I know... Stretch is the better slicer of the two if that matters.

Having owned the Endura, I'd much rather have the Stretch. More usable length (for me) and better ergos.

I have both. The Endura was my first Spyderco edc and is a great all around user. I got a Stretch in the last two years and I think I now prefer it although both are fine knives. As always, try to hold them in hand before buying.

I vote Endura. The Stretch is comfy in the hand, but I never liked the blade shape. The Endura's blade is more functionally useful and aesthetically pleasing to me.
