Stretching 1x30 belts?

Hello,
I got a 1x30 grinder a while back and ordered some norton blaze belts for it.
Some of the belts work fine but others are so tight that the grinder won't run them.
I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way to stretch out belts?
Also is there any modifications I can make to the grinder to help this?
This grinder is by King Canada but it's essentially the same as any bought from harbour freight.
Thanks

Have you adjusted the platen? Probably a metric allen or hex key and push the platen back a little bit, square it up with a square or 123 block and tighten it up again.

This may help you.

Yeah, I had to do that with mine- Just a tip, don't buy the ones with the plastic wheels, not only do you have to grind stuff to make them work right, but they run really rough and vibrate.
My other one was less than a hundred bucks from Grizzly, it's the one with aluminum wheels and a five inch disk sander- I've lost count of how many thousands of knives I've sharpened with it, and several years in I've only had to replace a switch. It's a hard working tool, and worth every extra penny.
