I have two older/rare Buck knives for sale. They are from my personal collection and while they are quite a few years old are in excellent condition. My collection is becoming unwieldy and these just don’t get admired often enough to justify keeping around.

Insured shipping within the CONUS and Paypal fees are included in the prices shown. I will ship to other locations, but this will need to be negotiated and details agreed on before purchase. I will check PM, but will be more responsive to my email address on file with BF.

Since I am attempting to thin my collection, there are only a few, specific knives I am interested in considering for trade:
CKF Garza
Todd Begg Field Grade Bodega
Some Shirogorovs
JW Smith SD or RG model with 3" blade
Fantoni CUT Flipper
Lone Wolf T1

This is one of the first production run blades with the BG-42 steel. #357/500. G-10 handle, nylon sheath. This is new in box. Asking $OLD

Buck/Mayo Model 172 TNT
I loved this knife, except for two things. First, as some may know, when these came out, they had trouble getting them just right. Most were minor quibbles (don’t recall what they were), but I am OCD, so I sent it back several times until I had a perfect example. Obviously, this is no longer an issue. However, the second thing persists, as it is a design issue for me with the TNT.

The way Tom designed the knife, the finger indent is intended for the index finger. When held as such, it forces a particular grip that I didn’t care for. It was just too far back for me and not how I wanted to hold the knife. I tried ignoring the indent, but that was uncomfortable.
If not for this, the TNT would easily be my pick for an EDC. It is the perfect size (7 3/8” Overall, 3 3/16” Blade, 4 3/16” Closed), sturdy, thin, light weight, and uses great materials. I carried it for a while, but couldn’t get past the way it was designed to be held. Looking at it again, I really love this knife, but I know I won’t carry it.

The bead blasted handle does have a couple of very minor snail trails only visible in certain lights (couldn’t photograph). The blasting is a little rougher and a little shinier (not dull, like most), so it hides things well.
It also has cut a couple of things, but blade looks new and has not been sharpened. Comes with felt lined plastic case, pictured. Asking $Withdrawn
