So Far I Have Had Not Heard One Question Directed Towards The Modification Of This Ar. How Does The Modification Effect The Knife? Material Removed? Balance? Grip? Does The Material Removed From The Liner Lock Effect Its Action? Has The Knife Been Retested As Far As Structural Integrity? If So How? Does Strider Sanction This Modification? Does It Effect Striders Warranty? What Are Your Methods Of Modification? Something Besides Corrections On My Grammer ,complaints And Quotes Out Of Your Mama"s Book Of Poetry. Am I Wrong In Bringing This Knife To You? Is This The Leading Edge Of Knife Discussion?

If you want to share please do so but you aren't going to make it far ragging on us that we aren't asking the right questions. YMMV

Honestly I would expect most of the answers to the method/spec questions and also some performance questions up front from you yourself. After all you are the one performing the work and using the knife daily. I would hope that most of the folks here could see that such a structural modification will most highly likely void Striders warrenty.

You want to generate interest and it looks like you have, so tell us more about what you have done and how the knife works now. It looks comfy and I wouldn't mind trying it out in a pass-around, I have used AR's in the passed so I would have something to comapre it to.

*the mod effects the knife by making it thinner/easier to carry.

*i doubt enough material is removed to effect the weight, not drastically anyway.

*didnt see a good enough pic to comment on the lock i would imagine its still fine though.

*its your knife i havent tested a thing lol.

*unless ya removed something ya shouldnt have i imagine strider will still warranty it.

*no poetry from mom today.

*good luck selling the thing on ebay.

Most of the Strider user base hangs out on their forum not here, you might want to try posting the pictures there and asking for feedback. In general, makers don't tend to warrenty work done on their knives by other individuals. It is usually assumed that modifications have been evaluated by those doing them. For example if I had STR put a new set of scales on a knife I would assume that he would not do so in a manner which would reduce the strength of the design, and would know enough to point out possible flaws on suggested modifications, you are trusting that they are doing their work intelligently and considering the implications of the modifications. Nice looking handle ergonomics wise.
