Strider AR or Mission MPF ??

Liner lock vs. integral lock - integral of course no comparision IMO. When you squeeze hard liner lock (no matter how thick lock etc.) you disengage the lock bar - when you squeeze integral lock you reinforce the lock. It's the matter of scales. People wowed on LCC and Sere 2k after they got those but there have been accidental disengagements. I feel comfortable with my liner locks but I NEVER use them hard. I find hard use liner lock to be an oksymoron. Folder is for situation when I can't use fixed. If AR had compression lock with its material thicknesses then ...

I would go with the strider it is alot stronger, I went with the GB. I find the single screw for MPF Mission to be a problem, plus I still like tip up. I decided to sell my MPF tanto do to that clip.Chris

I don't know, all of the recommendations I have ever read for the AR or GB basically say the same thing..."Get one, it's huge", or words to that effect.

I would feel a good bit better if the fit & finish were mentioned, or actual use/abuse experience was cited, but that's just me...

Now, I myself should have an AR or GB in hand by the end of next week, and I will certainly put whichever I get to the test, so I will know what the real story is...

Oh, and if anyone has a flat grind GB in S30V, please email me, because I am looking to buy one ASAP :)

You can't really compare a SERE 2000 or an LCC to an AR/GB. Have you actually held an AR/GB?

I compared my Sebenza to my AR, and the liner on the AR is nearly as thick as the frame slab on the Seb. Would the AR liner lock fail before my Sebby's? I seriously doubt it.

I agree with you in general that frame-locks are a better lock design than liner-locks, but the AR/GB is an exception.

You can't go wrong with the Strider AR. It is wonderful.

Kyle = nice pic! (no fire this time, I hope!) ;)
