Strider doublespeak?

Striders are like good older pickups. They don't have cupholders, and don't ride as smooth as the new ones, but they have a tougher drive train. In the 70's, you didn't need a 1 ton super duty just to haul some firewood and plow snow like you do now days. Like older trucks, Striders have no fancy frills, they just work hard.

My Strider PT CC had a more Sebenza-esque lockup too... The three SnGs I've owned have been a lot more obvious with variances. The newest one... most likely one of the latest batches of Gen 6 is less obvious. While I see the points as valid, it would almost be like saying that Chris Reeve is doing it wrong... which is not the case... it is the finest possible outcome. I believe that Strider does it because it leaves a much larger margin for error. Not that it does not work, and work properly... IMO It could just be better. Strider's warranty is the best in the bisiness... I have no doubt that if premature wear happens they would take care of it. The design of the SnG is great. I'd have one no matter who made it. It bellies up to my rather hard to please specs, an that is all that matters to me!

Usually the ones with just the very bottom of the lock contacting wear faster , and in my experience they stick more sometimes binding terribly but it doesn't mean its done wrong.

That's been the only problem with my SMF. I haven't bothered with sending it back to Strider because the lock is solid, but if it ever loosens up it's going back for warranty work.
