Can a person get a new G10 side or new blade for their production Strider folder from Strider if theirs has been modded/screwed up? If so does anyone know what they would run?

TIA,

Greg

If your knife has been modded your warranty is most likely voided and they might not work on it in that case. It's really dependent on what's been done to it. If the lockup or pivot area of the blade has been modified the warrant will be voided. If they will work on your knife you will have to pay for the repairs. The best course o action is to call Strider and let them know what's been done to your knife and see what they'll do.

I am/was considering a trade for a SMF that the G10 side had been modded and I am wondering roundabout what it would cost to get the G10 side back to stock if I went through with it.

Thanks,

Greg

Greg you could simply put the g10 slab up for trade and see if you can snag a stock one that way...

The answer would most likely be no.
Strider usually will not replace/sell parts under that circumstance.

Their warranty is always to send the knife in, and this is not a warranty issue.

There are a ton of very talented guys on this forum who make scales, I don't thing it would be all that hard to make you a new scale.
It might be easier to do a conversion to stand-off's because of the way the stock scale is milled....
