Both knives have been sparingly carried for about 1 week each, lightly stropped, cut paper, cut arm hair and fondled. NO HARD USE, NO MILD USE, but to be clear.. they are used. Both have faint snail trails on the titanium lock side. Both have faint scratches on the pivots (i have never adjusted either. Marks are from pocket carry).
Both have perfect centering.
SMF 20CV Parkerized finish $575.00 / $560.00 SOLD
I am not sure what year this was made. I purchased it "unused" form the original owner / collector. The knife has seen about 1 week of pocket time. I did not use the clip, literally carried inside my pocket. The SMF has 20CV blade steel with a parkerized finish (looks mean, like a strider should, in my opinion). The SMF is not even close to being broken in yet. The edge is like a toothy razor blade and is ground very thin (rivaling a few spyderco's ive sold). This version of the SMF seems to be more capable of slicing, cutting and stabbing (Dagger grind). The lock up is early, the lock up is like a bank vault - NO PLAY IN ANY DIRECTION. There is some mild lock stick, nothing bad. The action is a little stiff (guessing its from the parkerized finish, which will break in with time).
SNG 20CV Satin / Stonewashed $425.00 SOLD
The SNG was purchased here on the exchange recently. I believe I am the 3rd owner. The knife is in excellent shape. This SNG is completely broken in. Action is glass smooth, edge is damn near razor sharp, the grind is THIN behind the edge - SLICER. This SNG has seen light use, cut open a few bags of dog food, opened mail. The titanium has a few snail trails here and there, nothing major. The tip appears to be micro rounded (I am 100% sure it can be brought back to needle like with 1 sharpening - im also OCD about these things). This is a perfect EDC size, and very comfortable despite its looks. Solid little cutter all around ! Lockup is early, solid with ZERO play. ZERO lock stick.
Id prefer to keep this in the states.
