As a new member to these forums, it is my place to listen rather that to speak out, but I feel that I should express that Knifebomber has a valid argument here. It's tough to find good advice about knives where I am from, and I come to bladeforums to reap the good advice of experienced men like Ryan and other quality members. Had I not read the posts by Knifebomber and others who hold Mr. Sweetsner in such low regard, I would have read Mr. Sweetners posts without adding the proverbial grain of salt that they so desperately need. A quick search turned up all the information I ever needed to know about "16,452" as well as the past damage that he has inflicted with his continious and pathological lies. This is not a personal attack directed at 16,452, or whoever you are, However, I still feel the obligation, as well as the responsibilty, to inform others who and what you really are. I am 23 years old, only a few years older than you are Dennis, and I work hard for my money, respect my elders, and know that you can learn a hell of a lot more by listening instead of speaking out. Unfortunately, thanks to your refusal to abide by these rules, it seems you may have destroyed my opportunity to learn from a member like Knifebomber, a member who gained my respect in a way that you never could, no matter how many posts you have besides your name, or whatever brand name blade you choose to embrace for the week. Knifebomber, like others on this forum whose advice I listen to and learn from is a real person. No screen names makes him who he is, no knife makes him tougher, no story makes him bigger. If you would accept this and apply it to yourself, you will go much farther, and be a much better person.
Knifebomber and others, thanks for the heads up. Us younger, inexperienced guys appriciate knowing who does and doesn't know what they are talking about. I fully understand and support your position. If I failed to inform others of a potential danger, the hurt that could be caused by my silence would be on my conscience.
