Strider knives in trouble.

The time to ask questions like this is after there has been statements made by reputable sources, or by Strider themselves. There are far too many people with axes to grind, that are willing to start rumors like this, to take something like this seriously.

There's always going to be a poster like this ....
"I heard from a friend of a friend that" ......
Or he's just trying to get a flame war thread started ....
Pay no attention to these "I heard" posters .....

Mick and crew arent going anywhere, they wil lcontinue to grind out bad ass blades.

if such things were true it would be all over the usn.

I think the only thing Strider is in trouble of is running out of custom knives at Blade 2007... they ain't going nowhere.

just to squash all false rumors by "haters" We had the best show ever and will be in business for a LONG time. I can't believe that thier are still people talking crap. I know for sure that after this show we won't be hearing anything from one of the "main haters"
Missed you at the show JTW

JOSH OR CHECK OUT SOME OF THE NEW MODELS OR JUST GET A BUDDY A T-SHIRT THE BOOTH WAS UNAPPROACHABLE THERE WERE SO MANY PEOPLE AROUND IT BUYING. BTW SAW SOME GREAT NEW MODELS AND SOME AWESOME CUSTOMS. SO BASED ON BEING AT THE SHOW AND WITH IN VIEW OF STRIDERS
BOOTH FROM THURSDAY SET-UP TO BREAK DOWN SUNDAY 18:00 .....MY OPINION OF THIS RUMOUR IS IT IS CRAP! AT THE END THEY HAD NADA AT ALL TO SELL!SOLD OUT!

Its a rumor. Mick and Duane are both incredible talents in the industry. Regardless of what anyone may find to speak of negatively about either of them as people the knives speak for themselves and always have.
They make a super product that stands up well to torture and daily use and if they sold out of what they took having little or nothing left to pack back up to take home I'd call that a resounding success that many other makers would love to say happened to their products at the end of any show.

A success story like that does not sound like a company in any kind of trouble to me at all.

STR

they're releasing / just some new models (Badlands SMF for eg) so I really doubt it. They're very profitable, so why would they fold?

Some models are called "folders" the others are called "fixed blades" ha ha ha ha!

I love my Striders!

i was there at BLADE, and they were selling blades like hotcakes, and t-shirts were selling jsut as fast, Strider isnt going anywhere.

I put this up there with Rumor & Conjecture.

By Sunday there was not much left at the Strider table. Huge crowds always seemed to be present at the table, making it hard to get in there.
