STRIDER Knives

And it is a Strider thread after all....

I don't think the busse would be as damaged as the strider, but you're certainly not going to see any cutting happening.

Most of the busse knives you see in pics look like they've never been used because they're durable knives. They don't dent and chip and such easily.

Busse makes a fine knife, no debate there. But for me they are the epitome of "same shit, different day". The blade styles are all too similar, no folders, small selection of finishes, etc...Nothing against them but Busse just doesn't trip my trigger.

Both are expensive knives, both have a lloyal following, I've owned both and only have one brand now. That being said, carbon steel/tool steel will be stronger and tougher than any stainless any day. So by that alone the Striders are not as "tough" as the Busse, if it really matters in use. Buy what you want.
P.S 90% of Strider pics are of unused knives too.

I watched a Busse Fat Fusion Battle Mistress (FFBM) destruction test on Knifetests.com and that thing is a BEAST!!! It is however, a bit more than what I want to spend.

I think I am going to go with the Strider MT-L. I really like the feel, weighting and overall design. It is solid, razor sharp and durable. The woven grip isnt bad either. I located one on ebay for 300.00 brand new (I handled one at another local gun store earlier today but they wanted 450.00 for the MT-L-too much).

I may also buy a Busse FFBM in the future as well....
