Two good field knives for trade. Open to consider most things.
Email works best during the day as I have very limited access to the forum from work.
--------------------------------------------------------------
These have both been modded a bit.
The MFS has not been "used", but it shows kydex marks and I cut off the cord wrap and put on some wood scales. I am no finish carpenter, so its not a fancy job by any means, but the scales are functional, comfortable, not bad looking, and totally removable/replaceable. Kydex sheath has been re-molded to fit the new scales.
The MFS has a BOS stamp and has S30V Steel. Sharp as hell. This would make a great hunter or bushcraft knife.
-----------------------------------------------------------
The RS has been used. I dressed an animal with it last year. Still, there is only the slightest of a hairline scratch on it, visible only from the right angle. This is a classic hunter and its in fabulous shape. This is a beefy skinner. Check the blade thickness in the photo with the MFS.
It has no stamps other than "STRIDER" and I have no idea of the steel. Must be an old one?
The RS has a satin finish on it, and the previous owner did a very nice job refinishing it. It has black G10 scales and the whole blade is nicely satin finished silver. No stripes on this one (that was a plus for me)
The RS is rarely seen anymore. See this one below...
---------------------------
As for trades.... I am interested in most anything, but I really like Emerson, Spyderco, some Benchmade and Kershaw, etc. I like CRK, and MOD, basically anything of good quality.. I am open to fixed or folders, and I am open to plain or serrated, and black or satin. The only thing I don't really care for are tanto blades. I like ammo, I like water filters, I like stuff.
Carbon fiber spyders, larger spyders, older spyders
Benchmades and Kershaw with liner locks and frame locks
Most any Emerson, CRK Pacific, etc.
