Hey I just picked this up from monkey edge the other day and was wondering if anyone has seen or heard of these before.. I stumbled upon it randomly and bought it on a whim as it seemed pretty rare and pretty damn awesome looking.. It arrived today and I have to say it is one amazing knife.. It feels great in the hand, isn't too heavy for a quarter inch thick knife and has great balance .. The blade is really nice with some nice deep serrations on the top.. All in all a great knife and was curious as why I haven't seen any around..? I did some digging and didn't find very much on it other than it went up for sale in early 2015 and sold out quickly .. I've never run across one on the used market which I thought was a tad odd.. Just seeing what the general consensus was on this knife as I feel very lucky to own it now ..

Rare and very interesting knife for any Strider knives fan. Great find! Congrats! Is it ceracoate or aluminum oxide on the blade?

I believe that is a relatively new and limited production Knife. They probably wont make thousands of them like some other models which is why you dont or wont see them for sale in great numbers. A cool collection piece if you are a gun nut or into striders or both.
Use it in good health.

Yeah man. Now you need to get your trust set up (way easier than it seems) and get you a Noveske 10.5 SBR in 300 blackout.
These two would be a pretty pair.

Whenever I see a Strider, I have an almost uncontrollable urge to put it on a belt sander and contour the handle so it could actually be comfortable. Maybe that's just me.

If you like it...great.

To me its an example showing that claiming to be an "All American Badass Rifle Company" doesnt mean you know how to design a knife. And why would it?

Looks like a modern interpretation of a sword breaker (or Blues is correct and it's the world's heaviest comb:D):

So I emailed the guys at Monkeys Edge to get a little info on the knife.. All they could tell me was it is not a production knife and it was limited to a run of 50 . Strider had a few on the table at the Shot Show and Monkeys edge asked if they wanted to sell them and they said yes.. They told me the Strider guys made a couple extra just in case one of the 50 got messed up somehow so the produced a couple more on the run.. These are those few more and they won't be releasing another run ever again.. So basically 55-56 knives , they weren't exactly sure, in the total and that's it..

So these were limited to 50, but Strider made extras, in case some of them were botched?

Riddle me this; Why serialize them beyond 50 to begin with? If the quality control sucks, the botched blade should've been destroyed, and the replacement should've been serialized with the respective number.

This is incredibly unacceptable to release more of these knives, and it only serves to drive down the value of the original, limited, collection. it isn't just an extra 5 or 6 knives either. Check this gem out:

Number 65? Where do the lies end?!

Shame on Strider, AND on Noveske for having their name attached to this. This is even worse than their "limited edition" Johnny Mags. They're so "limited" that they sold out several times, and are still available 3 years later.

This issue warrants more attention.

You're preaching to the choir...:rolleyes:

Ps, links to EBay are against the rules here...
