Strider packaging

They come in a plastic baggie. No paperwork. At least thats how it came purchased brand new from a dealer.

They come in a tactical zip lock storage baggie...
At their price level even an inexpensive white box with a sticker "Made in the USA" would be a step up.

Some authorized dealers will add some Strider schwag, case, sticker, patches. My SLCC from TAD came wrapped in brown butcher paper.

Who buys knives for the packaging? Clearly some people are more interested in colorful boxes than they are in the knife. My grandmother collects old hat boxes. If you're that into the packaging, maybe you and she should start a worthless crap-collecting club. I will be over here enjoying my SnG.

I dont think anyone buys ANYTHING based on what it is packaged in. But packaging and presentation do make an impression. And for me I think there should be some care taken in how a knife is packaged and presented even if its a basic white box. That box will protect my investment. A baggie? not so much. I tend to think of it as if they cant put effort into their packaging how much effort goes into the knives? Honestly lately strider knives have impressed me just about as much as their packaging.

Act like a d$ck much?

I've had many and I do feel that for around 5 bills they should at least come with a padded case like the custom ones.

Mine came wrapped in a nice microfiber cloth. No bag or anything though.

Plastic ziploc bag. Model and blade steel written on it if I recall correctly. The thing I like about that is I don't feel compelled to keep a box that I'm never going to use for anything...

I agree with this assessment...if I spend $500 on a knife I'd @ least like something to store it in when it's not in my pocket.

You sir, clearly, do not understand marketing...and your condescending attitude will get you nowhere...

I for one, would like at least a card. If only so that it can show (somewhat) that it is not a FAKE!!!

Yes, I know, cards/boxes/anything can be faked as well. But it would make me feel a little better, so have something that says "This is the real deal" to go along with a knife worth so much. The more things that have to be faked, the more opportunities for something to be wrong and give it away.

I ordered a SLCC direct and it came wrapped in paper (in a shipping box). My only gripe is the spacing of their rivets on the sheath...don't fit tekloks very well. I am currently using a Spyderco G-clip on the sheath. Tried getting in touch with Lifter's Leather for something nicer, but no reply. I added the frag grips from Monkey Edge which lined up perfectly, and vastly improve the grip. It's always a toss up between the SLCC and my PS these days.
