Well I just got a Strider PT CC and here are my initial impressions.
First off CC stands for concealed carry. It has no pocket clip but a good sized lanyard hole( previous owner removed the lanyard) and it is slimmer and more rounded with smooth g10 on one side and flamed ti on the other.
I like the ergos and overall look of it. It provides a very secure grip. I prefer to not use the choil and just grip the g10 And ti portion of the handle with out touching the choil because it's more comfortable for me and gives me more reach. The style is very modern tactical looking but small enough that it's not intimidating to use in front of people.
I got it in a trade but it still has the factory edge which is very sharp(easily shaves hairs) so sharpness is first rate. It still seems pretty tough eventhough it's thinner than the regular PT. I wouldn't hesitate to cut some thick coax or a zip tie if I had to. I think I got a pretty good deal too.
The Pivot action is pretty rough to say the least but I took it appart, cleaned it, lubed it and adjusted the pivot so it's a little easier now. when taking it appart I noticed the nice overbuilt pivot. It's the thickest pivot screw that I've seen. Definitely designed for hard use.
Fit and finish is also a little rough with the off center blade and what look like gaps on the surface between the G10 and ti. That being said these things don't bother me because I didn't get a Strider for perfect f&f I have CRKs for that and I probably won't send it in either.
Lockup is rock solid with about 70% engagement.
All and all I'm pleased with this knife and I will be posting pictures and adding to this review in a little bit.
