This is a digicam/flamed ti PT pictured below that I regrettably sold. Cant find another one. But Ive come across this gorgeous ZT0900 offered by BF member "Whitty" at USAMadeBlade.com.

Looking for opinions from those who've handled both or even just the ZT0900. I really liked the Strider PT but am a huge ZT fan. For some reason this 0900 was completely off my radar until about a week ago. I think I may have seen it but didn't realize how small it was. Definitely intrigued since the Strider is so scarce.
Your thoughts on how these two compare are appreciated...

anybody had both of these that can offer some thoughts on how they stack up...or at least the ZT since I've never handled one?

I've owned 3 0900's. I sold the first to buy the 0900blu for my old man as a present and then bought another 0900 for myself. I can't explain it but its just got something about it, especially in hand. I did not care for it when they first came out but it grew on me and I am very happy I gave it a chance.

I have experience with both. I currently have a PT CC and I had a 0900 for quite some time. I'll start by saying that they are both fantastic knives and they are both compact in size but I think the similarities kind of end there. The 0900 falls into the little big knife category like the Spyderco Techno. It's a very compact but beefy folder. For the overall length of the knife it carries and performs much larger. It feels very solid in hand and the blade stock is pretty thick compared to the PT. I think the 0900 could stand up to harder use and it definitely weighs quite a bit more 4.3 oz compared to 2.3 oz for the PT. The 0900 flips like a rocket and has some of the snappiest flipping action I have handled. If you don't mind the added weight and flipper opening opposed to the Strider cutout than I think you will be very happy with the 0900. It performed all of the edc tasks I threw at it and the build quality is exceptional. The only areas that I think the PT outshines the 0900 is in slicing due to the thinner blade stock, weight, and ergos but the 0900 is definitely no slouch. The 0900 is definitely a winner and Whitty provides an excellent service. Feel free to PM if you have any other questions.

I have PT CC and 0900.

PT CC needs some break in to get rid of lock stick and doesn't have a clip. Overall, thinner and lighter than 0900.

0900 can't be beat for the price. It's a little big knife. Flips great and has steel lock bar insert. 0900 is very similar in specs to Hinderer Half-Track for one third the price.

GP Knives is selling a ZT0900 with a Tom Krein regrind that is INCREDIBLE for the money... I've owned and carried both, i sold all my PTs, still have my SNGs and the Krein regrind ZT. PTs are cool but very small.

The PT is my favorite small knife. I don't own the ZT, but as far as looks go, it doesn't do it for me, and I would rather have a PT of any flavor, any day of the week.

I've held both and played around with them. For me (xl-xxl hands) the PT was a better feel in the hand. The zt it very robust and flips like a rocket, but is a little to stubby for my mitts.
