Testing the water here... I bought a Strider PT (regular drop point version, no digicam, no recurve) a while back and it got carried a few times, used a few times and forgotten in a drawer for a while. The blasted Ti has a little pocket wear and there is a little oxidization on the blasted blade because S30V just loves to do that, but it's really in perfect shape otherwise.
I also have modded it, but it's a non-destructive mod. I made a replacement G-10 scale from the "natural" G10 (that translucent, clear, green-ish tinted stuff that people like Jens Ansø and Kevin Wilkins use tons of). While I was modding it I turned all of the Torx screws on some white Scotchbrite padding, so they have a nice, machined look to them, too. Anyway, the mod is a clear G-10 scale and a black G-10 backspacer. I hand filed the little notches in, but because I did not want to screw up the blasting on the Ti or steel of the knife, I didn't do a perfect job. So, the scale and backspacer don't QUITE line up perfectly, nor do the grooves all line up perfectly, but the tradeoff is that you can slap the original scale back on and you wouldn't know that the mod had ever even been done. I keep it in the modded form and it's fine, comfortable, and no one but knife knuts point out the defects!
The blade has perfect logo markings, clear and deep, and the action is really smooth with a perfect lockup.
I'm looking mainly for non-knife stuff, although I'll entertain whatever offers. Mainly interested in scuba diving gear, as well as digital SLR cameras. Please don't offer lenses or point and shoot cameras, or film stuff as I have plenty!
