If you are going to be spending that kind of money on a Strider, definitely buy one from an authorized dealer.

There are a bunch of Chinese-made fake Striders out there that look really close to the real thing. Many of which are on Ebay. Why risk getting a fake?

SMF DGG. This thing is a tank. Super solid knife but very light and easy to carry for its size.

I got a SMF NSN off auction for $399. I don't really care if it doesn't have the upgraded lock interface it's a special knife that I won't be using. I'll get one for use in a few months. I'm going to try to buy only 2 or 3 really nice knives a year like a Strider, or one of those Direwares'. On the other hand Maybe I should buy 1 kind of nice knife every month, like Spyderco. I thought I had it figured out.
