Sooo after quite a long hiatus, I've returned to the "fold" (Strider), picked one up on Ebay, not my first choice for a "vendor" but they had a few and with the "best offer" option, I did well. I trust that it's the "real" McCoy & I think that Bladegalaxy have a good rep?

So, I'm just wanting to find out more about the "grind" Asymmetrical? advantage? easy to maintain? I'm going with the IWB option so any "end users" out there, your "first hand" experience would be appreciated! I'm adding the Monkey Edge VZ FRAG grips as well. Thanks

I had one. Regretted selling it, but as a weapon its probably pretty good. It is well designed for punching and slashing. As a usable cutting tool, outdoors or EDC, it was awkward.

I'll still carry my Dozier "Lil Workhorse" for EDC, this will be a SHTF type of CCW. Thanks

Asym is great only gotta sharpen one side, you do have to make your cuts at a weird angle. Iwb is the only way to carry the slcc imo . Some gutted 550 static line. I'll get you a photo when I get home.

Just "checking out pics online" do you? or can you add a "clip" like on a typical IWB holster to the sheath? I have a spare one off a G Code holster. Do the VZ grips make it "less" comfortable for IWB? Thanks

You use an insane amount of quotation marks, wow.

Ive had two or three slcc's, I really didnt like them very much. I had a tad dagger grind and a MSC in Titanium.
I think I was just really wishing for more handle. I dont know if an asymmetrical edge has any benefit to the user. Probably just easier for the maker to grind. I guess the knife would be good for a concealed carry, backup etc. But its not a knife I would prefer for EDC tasks or as a weapon. The frag grips should definitely give you more grip on the handle. Best of luck.
