I found this picture on another forum. I would have posted this in the Traditional knife forum since it is a slip joint, but it sure isn't a traditional.
Posted here for your amusement. A Strider made slip-joint. That's right, a Strider slip-joint.

Wow.. this is a major beat to the punch for CRK. There is/will be a market for these in the future. Kudos to Mick. Hopefully this is a proto of things to come!

it is interesting for sure. i don't like the recurved blade. to be honest, the entire knife doesn't appeal to me. it is however, nice to see something new and original.

Is the Damascus from Mick as well ?

I really dig the damascus he has been making , not too overpowering and nice patterns.

A Strider Slippie , yeah I would be down for one of those.

Sorry guys. There were very few details where I saw it so I can't answer any questions. I just found it surprising that Strider was making a slip joint and figured some of you would get a kick out of seeing it.

That's an attractive folder from Strider. This may be a stupid question, but what is a slipjoint? I've heard that name many times before but I don't know what it means. can anybody please tell me? thanks.

that is a very nice knife

:p

Really not for me. I don't see the reason for it. If it was to be a technical marvel on a old technology, I would have made a easily removed center pin and not a peened one. The pivot and rear pin look to be removeable....

with a non-recurved blade shape it could be an excellent edc. An different from most other products on the market

I don't see the reason for it..

You got to be kidding me , now we need a reason for a knife ? With all the abstract stuff being made ( and bought ) , the only reason any knife gets made is cause the maker wants to.

That's one of the things I admire about Mick , he makes what he wants ( including his own damascus ).

Ya know it does have a strange gawker element to it...

Like driving by a recent automobile crash site, as hard as you don't want to look most of us will twist our necks just a little to see what is there.
Then, go on to complain how horrible the scene was.

Ah, the appeal of Stryder. :p

I like it

If everybody likes what you are doing, your not pushing it hard enough. Seems like Mick is going where nobody has and IMHO the knife world needs stuff like this.

What better way to shake things up than a tact T slippie :D
