Strider SMF break in

I just received a new SMF a couple days ago. This is my first strider and I am anxious to break it in. I'm having a problem though. I've opened the knife over 600 times and nothing has changed, if anything it's gotten worse. The opening is EXTREMELY rough, even squeaky sometimes. What can I do to fix this, also the lock sticks really bad.
 
This is what I did to my SnG. BTW, do not fast flick the knife open, that just jams the titanium into the steel and causes more galling and worsens a sticky lock. I used WD-40 to flush out the knife and used compressed air to dry it up. Then I used a paper towel to get any WD-40 residue off the lock face and blade. Then used a small amount of Powdered Graphite Lube. Keeps the lock from sticking while breaking in. Mine is now smooth with zero lock stick. Also, I do not use any lubes other then the small amount of mineral oil left from the WD-40 on the pivot.
