I took this Strider SMF to .025 micron today. Been having a blast doing it. A quality strop with good diamond compound is a must in my opinion even if it's just one with a coarser compound.

This was done completely freehand going from atoma diamond stones (140-1200) to Spyderco ceramic stones (medium-ultrafine) to my jende diamond emulsion strops (2 micron-.025 micron).

I've also been wanting to try going from the 600 diamond stone straight to the 12 or 6 micron strop to see how good of a toothy edge I can get. Sharpening can be a lot of fun if you do it properly! Still learning for sure though, there's always another technique or method to go about it that you can learn from.

Anyone else like doing this sort of thing and taking their edges to this point? Personally I think 400-1200 on the diamond stone followed by a 6 micron diamond strop is more than enough for an edc edge but man is it cool to get it mirrored!
