Anyone out there ever handled both? Based on the spec sheet the Satu comes across a bit beafier, and the SMF does have a CC option now which seems to be a little more edc worthy.

Any feedback you guys have on using either knife and subsequent impressions would be greatly appreciated.

Haven't handles both but I'd go with the Satu. Not as common and a sweet blade. Pretty heavy at 10 ounces but if your considering it you probably won't mind.

I have both and they are heavy duty. I feel that the SMF is much better for an EDC. The Satu is a monster, well suited for camping or hunting chores. Both are nice quality folders.

Yeah about a month ago I was torn between the two models as well and went with the smf only because it was the model I really wanted at a price I couldn't pass up. But I still want the satu and maybe in about a month or two I'll be able to sneak it pass the wife.

I like the Satu with G-10 over ti on the non-locking side and a full, 4" working edge blade. Sweet and priced to buy.

i've handled both and the satu feels way beefier. if you dont mind carrying a knife that heavy (weighs 10oz i think) then go for it.
