For sale Strider SMF in black LEGO
This is one that I bought brand new about a year ago. I made a few improvements and then sold it. I recently got it back in a trade. It is not really my style so I am selling it again. I am more of a slip joint guy.
I increased the detent on this knife by drilling the detent hole in the blade slightly larger with a 1/16 inch ball nose carbide end mill. I also did a dark acid stonewash on the blade.
The detent is perfect on this knife. When I got it I thought it was too weak. This unit has the new lock interface which is linear as opposed to concave. This unit is perfectly centered and locks up solid. There is ZERO play side to side and up and down. The blade on this unit is made from CPM S30V. It is a free dropper when the lock bar is totally disengaged.
I was going to do a regrind on this unit but then decided not to because these knives are considered hard use and the good thick blade stock may be considered an attribute.
This unit has a decent polish on the secondary bevel already but if you are interested in purchasing this I can put whatever edge on there you request. I can put a micro bevel on of a toothier grit, I can do the entire bevel toothier if you would like or leave how it is (quite sharp).
