Second owner of this S30V SnG. Previous owner claimed to only carry it a few times, and I believe him. Great, solid knife, but I just don't carry it or use it so it's time to move on. This one has the old lockup, but it locks up rock solid with no play in any direction at 50% and is centered as shown.
I sharpened it to a polished 0.5 micron edge on the Wicked Edge, and it's screaming sharp. I cut up a thin instant oatmeal box and a few pieces of phone book paper since it's been sharpened. In full disclosure, the only blemishes I can see on the knife are shown below. One is a tiny mark on the pivot at about 1:00 in the picture that occurred when I tried to take the knife apart and break the factory loctite. Yes, I have taken it apart once and cleaned and lubed but did not reapply loctite, and the pivot hasn't loosened anyway. I'll even throw in the bike tool I modified with a Dremel that fits the pivot perfectly. The only other blemish is a couple of very fine scratches on the pocket clip that I honestly can't tell if they were from carry or part of the stonewash but am making you aware in full disclosure. Blade is scratch free. Basically an occasional carry and hardly used knife.
Price on this one is SOLD priority shipped and insured. PayPal goods (NO gift) is preferred method of payment and has priority, but would consider USPS MO with the right member with appropriate feedback.
