A local guy has an SNG for sale. I'm not sure if it's legit or not because I am not very familiar with the brand. It is a Tanto. My question is whether or not the BOS logo should be there or not? It just had BOS & the flame logo. It did not say S30V or USA. Did they come this way or not?

Going to add those models in my experience do get lock rock, strider will fix it right up if this occurs. That's about all I can do without actual pics.

I didn't have my phone with me to take a pic. I was actually hoping someone could post a pic of a real one wit the same markings so I could compare with what I saw.

I was just wondering whether it was real or not. But I did google it & couldn't find any pics with the Bos logo that didn't say s30v & USA. So it had me a little scared of it.

Oh I believe you. So that's not necessary. I just thought that if it had the logo that it was supposed to say s30v & USA.... That's all.

Yes if your a member on the dark forum it's there unmarked are usually s30v on rarely s35vn. I have no motives to give you false info. Just dealt with this brand for a long time .

Cool. It's real then. It's barely used. Scales are perfect. Just a couple of trails visible on the stonewashed blade. Should be worth the $200 he's asking.

Can't answer your question on dollar amounts , it'd get us both in trouble because you aren't a paying member . If you want me to take a look if you can get pics shoot me an email . Not sure what the fakes say on the blade , don't know if I've ever seen a fake Tanto SnG though.

The best advice is to 1) know the seller or his reputation, and/or 2) get his guarantee that you can return it for a full refund if you find that it is a fake. Perhaps that's NOT the best advice, but it's decent.

I could be wrong about this, but from what I have seen and owned, all "BOS" stamped striders also state the blade steel and "U.S.A" under the BOS logo.

This may not always be the case, but that's how I have seen it on all the older Striders from the time he was doing the HT for them.

I know a lot of the "clones" just have the "BOS" logo....

When ever you buy anything with a long history of being cloned you need to ask questions about it's history from the owner and make sure that you research a lot. Posting some pics here would be a huge help.
If it doesn't feel right, just find another one...

200 is pretty cheap pics would help.

If it's legit that's a steal unless it's been pimped then not so.much
(I.e. if the pimping in any way interferes with the warranty ) imo it's the warranty that makes these knives great

. Not to mention when you have a smf in your hand some other folders just seem ....

Which some say pimping and mods have been serviced .. personally I leave mine stock cause if they do fail I want strider to back it up.

Although I can't lie I REALLY want to re-profile my monkey edge Db
It's a sweet little tanto. If it could only cut somthing lol ;)
