Please help me decide between the two. No shops around me carry these high end knives and I want to buy one or the other.
Do your best to talk me into one of them!

As Lycosa said, they are both fantastic. The sebenza has superior fit and finish but strider is very much tougher looking and has a better warranty. To me they are very different knives.

If you want a beast tactical looking knife get the strider. If you want a nice gentlemen's folder get the sebenza. Either way, you won't be disappointed.

Also I think you should look at the large sebenza, it's closer to the size of the SnG. Or the umnumzaan!

I edc a Strider SMF and love it. To me the difference is do you mind a beefy knife? Do you prefer a sleek slim profile? The SNG is a big piece if you reach past it often for your cell phone. Either will serve you well.

A small sebenza has gone a long way in use as my EDC and its a perfect size for all attires. If you like to flip your EDC, sebenza wouldn't fit that role.

I would also recommend you find a newer strider with their new lock geometry because the older generations are notorious for having blade play.
CRK gets my vote. Lg Sebenza Insingo w/ inlays or without. Hard to beat.

Also I think you should look at the large sebenza, it's closer to the size of the SnG. Or the umnumzaan!

S-punk is correct. Sng overall length is 8.25"; Lg Sebbie is 8.3".
Sng blade is 3.5"; Lg Sebbie is 3.625".
Sng weighs 4.3 oz; Sebbie weighs 4.7 oz.

Small Sebbie is nearly 1.4" shorter than Sng, and blade is 1/2" shorter.
Suggest the Umnumzaan, Very similar dimensions to Large Sebbie, but Umnumzaan has a more distinct tactical flavor to it, which I enjoy.

Keep in mind that you will get a slim profile with the CC or GG SnG. We're talking 3/8". And, the new Stonewashed finish kicks it up a notch.

I would probably go with a Tanto Umnumzaan, closer to Strider and you won't be disappointed. Got to find an older one without the so called lock bar stabilizer.

I went to a knife shop today and played around with a few CRK's. Beautiful knives. LOVED the look of the Umnumzaan but HATED how hard it was to open compared to the Sebenza's. They really are a gentleman's knife. What I figured out though is that I'm no gentleman. I need my knife to be a user and even though I'm sure the Sebenza would have no problem with this, I need something a little more rugged. Something I could scratch up and not be pissed about. That leaves me with a Strider or maybe a DPX Hest and I'm not sure what else is out there.

I recently got back to having a Sm Sebenza in my EDC rotation. I dig it very much, I have the Lg Sebbie, a couple of Umnums and an SNG....a PT as well.

With that said, if it comes down to which I one I carry.... What I have found is that I take into consideration where I'll be. If I want something with less visibility and less profile...definitely the Sm Sebbie. It flicks open so easily....if you take your time and tune the pivot and scales you will find it flies open with just a slight thumb push and zero wrist action.

The SnG.... Holy crap cakes, that blade has a lot of profile to it! Im not comfortable whipping that thing out in a public place. If I do, I really choke up on it to hide some of its size. I thought I would get more use out of the PT but since the Sebbie is easier to deploy.... I find myself using that one and shelving the PT. FYI I flick the crap out of that little Sebbie and the lock up has not moved at all! No wrist action just a thumb flick.

Both Sebenza and SnG are fantastic blades but since I'm not going on black op or recon missions I find I'm really using my smaller blades more these days.

I'll sum it up, if you buy the Sm Sebenza, in about a month you'll want the SnG. If you buy the SnG, in a month you'll want the Sebenza. Make peace with it and decide which one you want first :D

Those two knives are so different, as others said it really depends on what you want to do with it. If it's for light cutting tasks and fondling... it really doesn't matter. Getting a strider that is to your liking is a bit harder so my suggestion is... if you find one you like, get the strider. If not, get the Sebenza first and get the strider that you want whenever you see it available.
