I'm considering gettingMecha to make me a titanium hat. More durable for daily wear, and still lightweight.

That would actually be good. I may actually purchase an SNG if they did that. Considering 3/4 of all the used striders I've seen had lock up problems from actual use. The guys with 10 striders wouldn't know since they just take social media photos.i really enjoy the Strider Knives and now that the patent has expired on the axis lock from benchmade, how interesting would it be to have an axis lock on a Strider SNG?
I really like my TJ Schwartz Perpetua and the Hogue Doug Ritter....both with “axis” locks.
Maybe I’m living in fantasy land.
Nah, since the axis lock is legal to steal now, it isn't enough of a blasphemous challenge for old mickey.
And I'll just post this here before the strider fans start complaining: https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/mick-strider-has-some-explaining-to-do.453852/

You're very welcome. Looks like more and more people who are interested in strider knives don't know the company is founded on the scummy principles of stolen valor. That's what makes this forum great: the spread of truthful information that allows folks to make their own decisions.Wow. Thanks for sharing! Glad I was able to read this before dropping some coin.
I love when rational minds come to the proper conclusion.I love when it goes this way.
It may not be coming up on Google type searches like it used too. When I researched the knives all you could find were threads on Mick Strider and closed Sebenza vs Strider threads that turned into fights. I could find very little on the knives .You're very welcome. We've seen it go the other way countless times, it's always a pleasure when someone cares. All to often it's "oh well I like the knife".I love when rational minds come to the proper conclusion.

The steel and ht on striders is top notch because they are done by Peter's or BOS.Guilty
I have given him a pass he really doesn't deserve, and certainly understand why others haven't
I have never had much trouble even with the older knives, but the newer ones do have more attention to detail(fit & finish). Most of the problems while thought of as major were actual minor and easy fixes. I always have said they should come with a guide book. I think they could cut down their returns by at least 1/2. As far as I know they have always taken care of their warranty work, but customer service's communication skills are almost non-existent.The steel and ht on striders is top notch because they are done by Peter's or BOS.
But the issues they've had thought the years with quality, support, and the crazy social media posts that you just can't make up... With a little stolen Valor on top. Yea it's pretty bad company. I've heard they recently have been better releasing knives that don't have issues out of the box and are actually fixing knives. But I haven't sent mine in, mostly because I don't like it at all and it's at the bottom of the drawer. I got it in a raffle as a combo deal with another knaf I actually wanted.
