Any Strider owners noticing what's hot these days with the production Striders? I was talking to my Strider dealer today and the topic came up. First is the SNG. It's still the hottest model. I checked at a few other big Strider dealers and it's true. The SNG is by far less in stock compared to the SMF. I can almost buy any configuration of SMF but the SNG especially the CC and DGG are much harder to find.
Stone wash finish is also the most popular blade choice. It seams the coated blades are falling less in style these days? It could be because the stone finish hides scratches better and can be polished. As I was talking to my dealer a few (2) SNG CC came in ,so I bought one for a light weight EDC. it's a sickness. Back to the topic...any one else notice the Strider trends.

It's been a while since a batch of SNGs went thru if I understand correctly. Supposedly more are coming soon.

3/4 hollow grinds, more "exotic" steel, gunner grips, digicam blades and scales, more polished parts, coated blades, more exclusive runs with dealers. Also a wider range of customs with different grinds, scale materials, blade steel, etc.

Before it seemed they were vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. Now they seem to be evolving into Baskin Robbins 31 flavors.

I would love to see a bleeder grove on the drop point like the tanto has. If I didn't know any better, I would say Strider was cutting back production runs for he SNG?

Ironically I waited for a few years to find an SnG with a stonewashed blade and now they seem to be more popular than ever.

But I can't explain why I was drawn to this SMF and bought it. :)

No idea whatsoever, as long as there are some SMF and SNG CC green G10 with plain blade modelss available when I get my $ sh** together. FFG's naturally :D.

Am I smoking crack by recalling that the SW finishes were available a while back then they almost disappeared then came back again?

I'm much more attracted and partial to the SW Striders than any of their coatings. Even the Ti slab too. I don't dislike their flame Ti at all though.
