Brand New straight from Monkeyedge. SOLD obo

The TRICON Mod2 takes the simple and effective, no non-sense design of the original and scales it down just a tad for increases concealability and ease of carry without sacrificing utility.
About the Strider TRICON:
Trident Concepts has built a world class reputation in training everything from elite units, to 'switched on' civilians. If you have ever attended a TRICON class, you know that TRICON founder Jeff Gonzales's methodology is to analyze every level of performance and motion. To strip away the BS and instill functional skills that can be relied on when things go bad. All those 'cool guy' drills may seem great and you may even be able to perform them repeatedly.........in the training environment. BUT, can you perform them when it's dark, you're hurt, cold, scared, and there is somebody trying to kill you?
It is with that mind set that the TRICON fixed blade was born. People typically carry a folder for defense due to its convenience when compared to a fixed blade. However, a folder is a compromise in terms of employment and effectiveness. The TRICON was conceived to be a fixed blade that was carried at all times. It is deliberately simple and streamlined in design. Its narrow overall profile allows it to fit where many other similar length fixed blades would not. Jeff wanted a blade that he could mount to a plate carrier and then easily move to a plain clothes concealed carry role. The grip was purposely designed to be low profile yet still offer plenty of traction. With its relationship to the blade profile, it keeps your hand from 'riding up' under hard use. Constructed from PSF-27 stainless with full tang flanked by G10 scales . It is shipped with kydex sheath. The molded kydex sheath comes equipped with velcro loop but will accept most mounting hardware/clips, allowing flexible options on how to mount the knife. Removing the lower screw from the loop lets you wear the knife inside the waistband.
About PSF-27 Steel (Geek Version): PSF27 is a modern version of the old knifemaker favorite D2 (traditional ingot melted steel) produced using Peak Spray Forming technology. The Spray Forming process has has many of the same benefits of the PM (powdered metals process (finer grain structure, more uniform distribution of carbides, etc.) The Spray Forming process results in ever so slightly larger carbides than the PM. In addition, PSF materials tend to have a lower porosity than PM. All that geek talk basically means that PSF27 has a greatly increased (as in about double) toughness and wear resistance when compared to traditional D2 while retaining the qualities of D2 that knife users love.
About PSF-27 Steel (Real World Version): 99% of end users cannot tell the difference between PSF-27, S30V, S35VN, etc. Some users have reported that their PSF-27 knives are a bit easier to sharpen. Bottom line is that Strider does not use any materials they would not bet their lives on and like all Strider Knives, it is guaranteed for life. SO, quite overthinking it, and get out and use your gear!
