wow i got me a smf the other day and toted it for a while. when i returned to my large 21 the difference was shocking. i couldnt believe how easy and smooth the opening was on the 21. i dont think ill be able to carry a strider anymore.

dont get me wrong, the strider felt solid and well built. but the sebbie was much less intrusive on my tendons and much more unobtrusive in my pocket.

I've noticed that too, but continue to carry my SnG. The pocket clip does it for me -- nice and secure.

Funny thing. My SMF is extremely smooth (much more than my Umnumzaan). Then again, i must have opened and closed that thing thousands of times in a week.

Agreed!

Wait...I agree with that too!

What the heck!

This is why you gotta have both and just rotate.

I bought a new SNG gunner grip a little while ago and I love the ruggedness of it, The blade really gives an assuring snap when it opens, very pleasing to the ears.
That being said, I prefer my sebenzas for daily carry and they get alot more pocket time.

I carry both at the same time 99% of the time. Love both animals and my sebbies are all smoother. But my SMF is a real worker and will always be a quality go to utility folder that takes a licking.

I gotta say I love my SMF and my SNG
BUT I keep getting more Sebenzas
and the Small Sebenza blows away the PT

The Sebenza is clearly the better knife, but I still kick myself for trading/selling my SNG/SMF and PT.

That's why I'm seriously contemplating getting the CC models. But not until I get an Umnumzaan.

ive had an SMF and held and SnG...i doubt i will buy a strider again...just didnt do it for me...sebenzas on the other hand i really love:D

These are two totally different knives. It's a really hard comparison in my opinion. I own them both and the refined natural of the sebenza contrasts the rugged industrial sometimes sloppy nature of the Strider. They both get pocket time.

CRK are better as a whole than Strider is IMO. It's not even close CRK is much much better IMO. The only edge Strider has IMO is their Bos style Heat treat of their S30V.

Both are great knives but I find CRK has better build quality.

PS - BOS retired so Strider no longer has this advantage

A few weeks ago I finally got the bug for a Strider. I found a LNIB SMF and purchased it. I got it thursday morning and sold it friday morning. I owned it for 24 hours. It was a nice knife but the Sebenza in my opinion blows it away.
Plus no manufacturer gives the service CRK does IMO.
The Strider just seems crude next to the Sebenza IMO.
:yawn::yawn::yawn: Rickster :yawn::yawn::yawn:

I just ordered a PT which will will arrive next week...going to be hard to be better than my small 21 but we will see!

IMO when you weigh it all up CRK comes out on top every time, I'll never own another strider but I will be owning several more CRKs. :)

Hey baz4life, I have a PT and I think you will be happy with yours, it's a super solid little
knife just very different from the sebenzas. It's nice to have some variety.

I had a SNG but sold it. The pocket clip was fantastic and robust on the Strider but the Sebenzas do it for me with the overall knife. I wish CRK would review the style of their pocket clip.

Don't you worry about that knife, Rickster. I'm taking good care of that baby. And it's smooth like butter now, brother.
