Strider With Buckknives for new bayonet?

On the news of" Buck produse folding Strider",I thought first was that,Strider design Buck produce will be chosen to new bayonet for OICW!
Is it planning?

Please forgive my ignorance but i do not know what the OICW is. I can say that for right now, this knife is not planned for anything other that civilian consumption.

Joe,

OICW= Objective Individual Combat Weapon,is new U.S. force's main rifle.Now,it is M16 which with your M9 bayonet.
As,I reckon all knifefactries are on the trial of bayonet for the new rifle.

I have not heard of that. It sounds like maybe a new bayonet is needed? We will see.

Oh,U.S.forces will not renew the bayonet after OICW is using?
I thought U.S. army renew rifle,so renew bayonet too.

I only wish i understood how they work. I imagine that if i did, we would still be making a bayonet for them.
