Well, after all these years I can finally say I've owned a Strider. I've owned it since last Thursday night, and although I like it well enough, I've figured out that the whole paracord-tiger stripe- camo-prybar thing jus' aint really me.
here's the specs: blade is 1/4 inch thick S30V and has a 3.5 inch cutting edge and a clip point with the tiger stripe camo job on it. It's been lightly used- has a few kydex scratches on the high points and from sharpening. BTW, this may very well be one of the sharpest striders you'll ever see, it's had one heckuva hair poppin' edge put onto it.
Rest of the knife measures 7.5 inches OAL with a green paracord wrapped handle and a kydex sheath w/ full sized tek-lok on it.
As far as what I want- eh....nuthin' specific in mind...one of the smaller Chris Reeve fixed blades would be nice, other custom/semi custom knives,Dozier. Bud Nealy, Tom Krein,Bark River knives, Himalayan Imports, tomahawks, bowie knives, Benchmade, Swamprat, Microtech,Camillus,Spyderco, etc. folders. Cold Steel products aren't real hot on my list though. Guess I am more in the market for big hackers, and choppers, come to think of it....Would love to get hold of an HI Cherokee Rose also...
Maybe some shooting acessories- good quality scopes,slings, bipods, 10/22, 1911,S&W revolver, 870 acessories, decent leather, etc. I'm probably not gonna be real interested in anything that says "Choate, Butler Creek, BSA, Bushnell,Simmons" or anything of that sort.
