Striders Warrenty

Do most people buy a strider and never adjust the pivot? because If so then mabey ill just leave the pivot stripped in the original position.

You need a spanner wrench and a specific size torx/allen wrench. The PT (smallest one) uses a T8, the SnG (medium one) uses a T15 I think. I ended up adjusting the pivots on mine, they were both way too loose. I used a soldering iron on the pivot for a couple seconds and that was all I took.

Did the person you bought the PT from tell you about ANY of the problems

with the knife? If not Why Not? Why doesnt he have the knife back instead

of expecting you to take care of having His Knife Repaired?

No he told me about there being a scratch on the pivot. I think im just going to leave it but he was a good seller.

Iv never been sure how to post a pic in the thread... could you give a quick explanation?

As far as the pivot goes, it looks like the spanner wrench side is dinged up, the other side (Torx) is obscured by the flash of the camera. If I were you, I would send or take the knife in, but as mentioned include a detailed letter describing what you want done including cost BEFORE it's done.

The scratching looks cosmetic at this point, but if you want to tighten or loosen or clean the knife at any point, you will have a hard time with that pivot for sure. Sure would not hurt to ask Strider and see what they have to say.

For pictures, this is the host I use. It's free and pretty easy:

Let me know if you need specific details, I'll help out if you'd like.

Strider just replied to my email. They will replace the pivot for just the price of shipping! I can see why everyone says they have the best warrenty. This just made me decide on my next knife being an SnG and not the sebenza.

Very nice! Makes you feel good when a Customer Service request that seems "too much", is actually a "no problem at all".

I would send it in. $25 and you have a new knife. Strider will take care of you.
