I call this my "Strife".... part steel striker, part knife. Made from W2 file steel... it's not hardened yet... I'll post finished pics when I'm done.

nice little knife.

are you going to rig it up in a neck pouch sheath?

good luck with the heat treat!

looks great, nice shape. I made one of those a while back, they are fun little projects.

i like that sheath and the carry method. very nice little package. it looks just like jewelry

I have a striker knife from another smith and I love it! Love your design as well......will they be offered in the store that I hope will soon be open?(hate to mention that in every post of yours I reply to, just love your stuff)

That's really nice! Hope you don't mind if I use that design and make one for myself...? I have a small forge at my summer cottage, and that looks like a nice project to start the summer with.

I've been looking for a small neck knife to accompanie my firesteel, and that looks just perfect! :)

How are you going to use it if you carry it like that? You would have to remove it from around your neck every time. Or is there something I don't see?

Other than that - nice knife & sheath!

Good observation...

I made that sheath with the intention of using it as cover only... so I could throw it in my pocket... or my Firepouch. Putting a thong on it was an afterthought. If I really want it to function as a neck knife I'll need to make a different retaining system.

Thanks for all the great compliments guys.
Rick

Classy little tool, really works with the sheath for a nice discrete package around town. Should be a great box opener too.
